EALC Graduate Summer Fellowships, 2021
Deadline: March 29
The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures is announcing a limited number of competitive EALC Graduate Summer Fellowships for Summer 2021. The typical amount of the award will be around $2000 with possible adjustment based on available funding.
The purpose of the fellowship is to encourage you to:
- undertake research that will lead to publications, enhance the quality of your Ph.D dissertation or MA thesis, and advance your career development
and/or
- take a summer course or participate a summer workshop that will help you develop language or other research skills needed for your Ph.D. dissertation or M.A. thesis project.

EALC Graduate Summer Assistantships, 2021
Deadline: March 29
The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures is announcing a limited number of competitive EALC Graduate Summer Assistantships for Summer 2021. The typical amount of the award for one project will be around $2000 with possible adjustment based on available funding.
The purpose of the fellowship is to encourage EALC faculty members and graduate students to develop collaborate work outside regular classes, enhancing mentorship via project-based teaching, and improving student research and work skills via project-based learning. Faculty projects can be either a research project for their academic publications or for course development.
