Biography
I am in the final semester of my MA in Chinese Second Language Acquisition. Originally from Chicago, I attended The University of Manchester in England and completed a dual honors bachelors degree studying Chinese and Business Management, graduating in class of '22. In my time in the department of East Asian Languages and Culture thus far, I have developed my area of interest into a cross between the disciplines of language & linguistics and anthropology, identifying my niche as "Chinese Linguistic Anthropology." My recent work examines L1-L2 Chinese speaker interactions and the relationship between linguistic ability and establishment of solidarity across visually indexed racial lines.
